Alecs & Peggy | Hong Kong

February 13, 2010

We just had a blast from 2 Hong Kong trips. I went for the 1st round to shoot Peggy’s engagement with Alecs. Faiz Kadir(silverklover) & one of my best friend Cedric Chan was also there to shoot this memorable event.Yes, Peggy is from Hong Kong and Alecs from Sri Petaling,KL but they’ve been living in London for quite sometime. They hired us to produce video documentary of their engagement in HK, gate crashing, tea ceremony, dinner in KL, Banquet in HK and also an outdoor photo session in Hong Kong. Let’s save the Video documentary for another post,so we’ll talk more about the photos for this post. Imagine Hong Kong…but at 1130pm/2330, no one was on the street, shop closed but the tram still running though until 1200pm. What a unique experience for us! We started shooting in front of the famous Standard Chartered building and walk all the way to a hill with a very long outdoor covered escalator. Have fun looking at the photos!

Started shooting at this building.

Then we move on to a tram stand where we thought including the tram might show a lil bit of Hong Kong elements.A beautiful capture & timing by Faiz!

Then while we were walking i stopped the couple to have a few shots at this very nice downlight with Hong Kong street as the background. I was really lucky to capture & include the tram too!

From Faiz’s angle, what a nice lighting & reflection to add some spice to the scene!

We were actually thinking to include the building as the main feature but then it didn’t turn out good so i thought maybe i could include the Hong Kong taxi pass by and hopefully it might make a good capture.

Peggy’s mom brought us to this very nice looking stairs. Looks like a cobble stone stairs, the area surrounded by bars & pubs made a good night scene.

Just a few steps down the stairs, we found a street full of neon lights.nice bling bling background!

and another shot of them on that street.

And the last spot was very special! It is a covered outdoor escalator stretching all the way uphill. You’ll be amazed how long this escalator is, we were told that the middle group citizen lives on the hill and they will need to take the stairs to go down town Hong Kong for work. Imagine how tiring it is going back up the hill everyday??? So the government built this escalator to make life easier.cool!!!

and lastly my favourite shot of all!
